    Sever Weather

We have an individual that watches the weather with radar software. Our priority is to keep our campers safe; we cannot always predict what the storm is going to do or if it changes directions. If we see that we can poetically have a threat of severe weather, you will receive a text along with us knocking on doors and driving through the campsite honking horns.  This gives you the option to decide to come to the storm shelter or not.

    Updates 10/17/24

  • Grand Getaway RV Park Internet and TV Policies, Terms and Conditions

The Grand Getaway RV Park and Mercantile is offering Wi-Fi and DirecTV service to its guests. On March 1, 2024 we are going to start charging $25.00 per month for use of the Grand

Getaway RV Park’s 2.4G, 5G and 6G Wi-Fi network. Free public internet is available in the Mercantile if you have no other option and do not want to utilize the RV park Wi-Fi service.

This network has multiple features turned on to prevent issues from occurring. These features are outlined below.

    •      L2 isolation turned on, restricting devices on the Wi-Fi network from being able to see other Wi-Fi connected devices. This is a security feature which prevents guests from accessing other guest devices.

    •      Bandwidth usage throttling – Each device that is connected to the Wi-Fi network is throttled to 15 Mbps maximum. This prevents one person from utilizing all the network bandwidth causing issues for other guests. This speed may be adjusted in the future as necessary but will not be reduced to below 10Mbps.

    •      Static IP Address configuration – All devices with be assigned an IP address that corresponds to the lot number that you are in. This allows problematic devices to be quickly identified and addressed as needed. It also prevents rogue devices from utilizing our Wi-Fi network. All devices that are being placed on the network will need to be configured by David Cochran or they will be blocked from using the Wi-Fi Network. To get a device unblocked or to prevent it from being blocked in the future, please contact David Cochran.

    Other information

    •      Onsite Technical support – After an initial setup visit by David Cochran, any future visits will carry a charge of $25.00 per visit. Below is a list of things to try before contacting David at 918-801-6399.

    •       Private Wi-Fi Hotspots are allowed.

o   To prevent issues, please contact David Cochran to configure your hotspot’s Wi-Fi radios.

o   We need to make sure that your hotspot is configured in a way that it doesn’t interfere with the park Wi-Fi or other hotspots. This is for your benefit, along with everyone else in the park.

o   These hotspots are purchased at the guest’s expense from the provider of your choice. David Cochran can make recommendations and assist in helping you to get the best service possible for a charge of $100.00 per hour.

If you experience issues with a previously working device, please take the following steps before contacting David Cochran.

    •      Turn off the device and unplug it from the power source for 1 minute. Plug it back in and see if the issue is resolved.

    •      If the issue isn’t resolved, please disconnect from the Wi-Fi network, “Forget” the network, Reconnect to the Wi-Fi network.

TV streaming is the highest priority for most camp guests. Grand Getaway offers DirecTV

Stream for a cost of $50.00 per TV per month. All channels from DirecTV are available to you including local channels. This is only for long-term sites.

    •       Contact David Cochran if you would like to use this service.

    •       Requires that you have Grand Getaway RV Park Wi-Fi service.

    •       Requires one open HDMI port in the TV that you will be using the device on.

    •       Requires an open power plug within 5 feet of your TV.

    •       Requires about 45 minutes to get setup.
